Sesamin & Pre-Contest Fat Burners

Postby ABatten on Mon Jan 19, 2009 5:58 pm

Just a couple questions for the group...has anyone tried sesamin as their part of their pre-contest supplement regimen? Also, I've never tried any fat burners/thermos, and was wondering what the consensus is for the best natural one?

I did the NSSC last year as my first show ever, but I only signed up 5 days prior (and dieted two weeks.) I did alright, but I intend to prep a little better this time, and I've been looking into these products to try them out. :)

Thanks!

I am preparing for my first show in April so I am learning at this very moment. I do know that I tried 7-KETO DHEA and I did not see difference, but had also started taking CLA at the same time, and I have seen a difference but not sure where it comes from...also my dieting has helped alot...so again I am learning at this moment. I do appreciate you mentioning sesamin...7-Keto is a fat burner but are others authorized in NANBF?

Fat Burners?

Postby jarnold on Thu Apr 16, 2009 2:35 pm

Really guys you can do all the fat burners on the market and you will not lose fat until you modify the diet and do it for up to 16 weeks. The only product that really worked was the Ephedrine based. You cannot get so that not an option. A good diet should allow you to lose at least 1/2 percent of bodyfat a week. So you need to try to keep your fat level at 10% prior to your diet as well. I am partial to the Low Carb diet. All the other types that just cause a fat deficit and doe not burn fat. It also can lower Naturals hormone levels. Not good. Plus you have to do as some competitors up to 1 1/2 hours of cardio. Do you realize that it takes an average runner 45 minutes to do a 10 K. So you are running the equivalent of 12 miles a day. Do you want to look like a sprinter or a stringy long distance runner. Low carb dieting only needs maybe 30 minutes of either high or low cardio 3 times a week. If you do low rest interval lifting you can get by without it.
