The day after a Great Show!

Postby jarnold on Sun Sep 14, 2008 5:34 pm

Just recovering here from my Pro Debut. The show was ran flawlessly. Being a promoter as well I look at contest in a much different light as you can imagine. This was one was an A+ in my book.

Wow, was this a humbling experience. As an amatuer, I always felt I had a shot at winning my class the last 10 years but that has changed. Speaking to the judges that had seen me the year before they all agreed that I look the best ever. This was my real goal. Even at that I was not even in the running being way outclassed in size. I however, right now the next day, am no less happy and thrilled that I actually got the opportunity to be able even step on a Pro stage! This as far as I am concerned with my age in account is still mind boggling for me. It is funny to note that as soon as I saw everyone in their trunks I realized the Pro 40 will be more of my speed. LOL! The lightweight class was just lights out in talent from the comments the judges made. It was just amazing how much dense muscle and symmetry everyone had. No doubt the next level is very, very tough. Congrats to Brad Steere!

John,
Congrats on your pro debut!!! I was training for that show but experienced a shoulder injury last month. Do you have the results from the men's pro division?
Thanks,
Larry Burt

Cori, you look great.

John, I saw you compete for the first time. You looked great I thought, as did the rest. It was a tough competition for sure. Everyone did their best.

I always love the feeling after a show, (but not the day after sugar hangover) of the motivation I get from the show. I'm ready to move on and make improvements.
