Anyone near the Omaha area? I am jealous of how many competitors down around the KC area. There doesn't seem to be a lot of NANBF people in this area. Because of my work, I can train at any gym for free. If anyone lives around here or is in town visiting and wants to train, let me know. Also, if anyone knows someone in this area that helps with posing/routines and possibly prep diet, I would greatly appreciate the info. Thanks-Brian

Tried to PM you, wouldn't work for some reason. Where do you train at? I go to Powerhouse for Legs and Back sometimes. They have some nice equipment--Brian

I work on the Air Force Base so I have access to the Offutt Field House. I used to workout at Powerhouse, but why pay for it when I have a great gym to use for free!

Better Bodies off J street.
I mentioned this on the other thread for Todd Mills as well.
I have trained there before while judging for him about 4 years ago and stop in as I have a client in that area as well. The place still looks good.
Are you coming to the Natural Southern States?

Brian,
Are you competing with us ? We are also doing our free seminar or actually 5.00 to the gym owner. January 10th. and another Mid March for only NSSC competitors.
You need to be the catalyst in Omaha, man. Start working on allot of people to compete there. Our competitors are our best ambassadors. You did a nice job this year by the way! Lotsa improvement!

I don't plan on competing until April 2009. I just got back from Jamaica and put on a little bad weight. I'm building a house, trying to start a family, etc. I need some time to figure out my diet and work on some lagging parts. For the amount of work I put in, I was not happy with my conditioning. I need to diet smarter so I don't have to do so much damn cardio!
I would very much like to attend the seminar though. I will have to see if I can get away from work, Is their a deadline to sign up for it? Would love to pick your brain about my diet. If you need help getting flyers out or something up here, I could help you out. I train all over the place so would be easy for me. Take care and hope to see you in January--Brian

Mauer Power,
Send me an e-mail with your address and I will send you some posters and entry forms as well as the Seminar info. You can sign up for the Seminar whenever. It is January 10th. It is actually 5.00 to the gym owner.
My nutrition program does not require much cardio at all. I did road biking for about a 25 minute ride maybe 3 times a week. I prefer that my clients only do interval running or biking. More like a sprinter. Long cardio IMO is the problem for allot of people. I think it just muscle waste you. Or if you try to keep your carbs up so you don't then you do not get into burning your fat hence hours of cardio. The biggest drawback is that you have no life and doing an hour+ a day with your lifting training is just to much for most people with families and such. By doing the amount of interval training I mentioned and my diet I got down to my lowest percentage in a long time with that. I got stronger towards the contest as well.
You now have 18 weeks before our contest. If you are at 10% it would be a piece of cake. Wait a minute you gotta cut out the Cake! LOL!

Yeah, I am still pretty lean once this water from Jamaica subsides. It's tempting but I really want to take some time to improve my physique. I know you said you refeed about every 3-4 days or so.....how low are your carbs in the days preceding this? Do you have any starch? Do you eat green veggies or just strictly a protein/fat source?...........Guess I need to make it to the seminar. I'll email you my contact info. Thanks--Brian Mauer
